How is your winter going, where are you located?
My winter is going lol , I live in the anarchist jurisdiction of Portland, OR

How did you create this piece?
I don't rly see pieces as ever finished, this piece is a collage /  assemblage of video clips, live performance, video performance , and others that together create a narrative feel around the subjects of the piece.

Could you tell us about your collaborations?
Collaboration is a huge part of my practice from curatorial to performance and video collaborations. s/o NAT TURNER PROJECT & rise x fall ! NAT TURNER PROJECT is a black radical art experiment here in Portland, OR with Melanie Stevens. We do exhibitions, publications, residencies, and a podcast ! rise x fall is a multi year ongoing collaborative  performance (live & video) project with Jaleesa Johnston and Rubén Garcia Marrufo, that will have some big moves in 2021, and we had some screenings in 2020 as well.

What drives your experimental work?

Play, experimentation, lack of fear around failure, imagining black / latinx futures, wanting to see things, feel things that I haven't  before, to create the world i’d want to be a part of

Are you looking forward to anything special?
Yes, to able to go on a performance tour (when safe again) , 2021 art projects, I am curating a show at Paragon Gallery in May 2021 (Portland, OR) , I have a multi media art project ANDROIDS IN THE TOWER coming out in phases currently ( clothing, publications, performance, video) I have also stated printing on fabric and am looking forward to all the places that lead.

Would you care to share your last dream?
Yes I would love to, but sadly I cannot recall my last dream or any recent dreams. : /
