Weaving together contemporary latinx voices that echo a yearning, that swim between worlds old and new, flying above la frontera, through underground worlds, endless fluidity in transformation, migration, our poetic dreams of desire. Dreams we embody everyday, dreams we see so far away, with the respect and reverence for all that has come before us, grieving who, and what we’ve lost… land, bodies, souls… in sacrifice for where we are going, for  survival, these are works that can help us dream, help us see.

Nexus: Latine Experimentalisms

The multidisciplinary performance program features live music, abstract turntablism, dance, live painting, and an artist talk. The program honors the history and future of Latine experimentalisms in Texas while gathering artists from Austin, New York, San Francisco and San Antonio here, together.

  • 8:30PM - Maria Chavez (abstract turntablist)
